HISTORY
DEL 1, headquartered at Vandenberg Space Force Base, was activated during a ceremony on Aug. 23, 2021. The former 381st Training Group, which inactivated on May 31, 2021, was redesignated as DEL 1. The 381 TRG was redesignated May 31, 1994 and activated Oct. 1, 1994 from the former 381st Strategic Missile Wing. The 381 SMW was activated Nov. 29, 1961 and inactivated Aug. 8, 1986. The 381st Bombardment Group preceded the 381 SMW. The 381 BG was constituted Oct. 28, 1942.
