Chief Master Sergeant JAMES P. SEBALLES Chief Master Sgt. James P. Seballes currently serves as the Senior Enlisted Leader, Space Training and Readiness Command (STARCOM), temporarily located at Peterson Space Force Base, Colorado. STARCOM was established as a Field Command 23 August 2021. The command is responsible for preparing, developing and delivering more than 8,600 Guardians to enable the United States Space Force to prevail in competition and conflict through innovative education, training, doctrine, and test activities. Chief Seballes grew up in Austin, Texas and after completing basic training in June 1994, he attended the Apprentice Electronic Signals Intelligence course at Goodfellow Air Force Base, Texas. His career includes more than 300 hours as an enlisted cryptologic flyer onboard EC-130H’s, providing tailored support to F-16CJs and holds the distinction of being the first Air Force graduate of the National Security Agency’s Military Operational ELINT Signals Analyst Program (MOSAP). He has served in service and joint positions within Air Force Space Command, Air Combat Command, Air Education and Training Command, and the National Security Agency at the Squadron, Group, and MAJCOM level, including positions as MAJCOM Functional Manager, Group Superintendent, Squadron Superintendent, Senior Enlisted Leader for Education and Training, Detachment Superintendent, and Adjunct Faculty Instructor. He has also participated in deployments in direct support of Operations DENY FLIGHT, JOINT ENDEVOUR, and ENDURING FREEDOM with assignments at bases in Arizona, Colorado, Georgia, Texas, and overseas in Italy, Japan, South Korea, Kuwait, and Australia.
