Maxwell AFB, Ala. – Commandants or Officers in Charge of subordinate units of Space Delta 13 salute Col. Niki Lindhorst, Space Delta 13 commander, during the activation and assumption of command ceremony, Sep. 13, 2021. Vosler Non Commissioned Officer Academy, National Space Security Institute, 13th Delta Operations Squadron, Space Delta 13 Detachments 1 and 2 represent the subordinate units for Space Delta 13. The delta will concentrate on building independent developmental education at the intermediate and senior levels for officers and to further enlisted developmental education through the establishment of the Enlisted Center of Excellence. The Department of the Air Force designated Maxwell as the initial location for Delta 13.
