Senior Master Sergeant MATTHEW P. “GRINDER” IMSCHWEILER

SMSgt Matthew Imschweiler is the Senior Enlisted Leader at 4th Test and Evaluation Squadron, Peterson SFB, Colorado. Senior Imschweiler is the senior enlisted leader for 114 military and civilian personnel consisting of 17 different A/SFSCs throughout 4 divisions and 1 geographically separated operating location.

Senior Master Sergeant Imschweiler entered the Air Force in May 2008, followed by technical training courses at Keesler Air Force base and Fort Gordon Army Base graduating both courses top of the class in December 2008. With 17 years of active-duty service, his background includes various duties as a SATCOM and RF Transmission System Specialist and has filled a myriad of roles including Noncommissioned Officer in Charge, Special Missions Systems Technician and Special Operations  Division  Quality  Assurance,  Training,  and Operations Lead. His assignments include Mountain Home AFB, Idaho, Aviano AB, Italy, Joint Base Charleston, South Carolina, and a 6-year tour at a DATA MASKED location. Prior to this assignment, Senior Imschweiler was the Senior Enlisted Leader of the Space & I/O Test Squadron assigned to a Data Masked organization. He transferred into the United States Space Force on 11 February 2021. He deployed to Al Udeid Air Base Qatar in 2011 as the Lead Dispatch Technician for the Escort Flight, 379th Civil Engineering Squadron. Senior Imschweiler has also attended the Survival, Evasion, Resistance, and Escape school as well as the Parachute Water Survival course. He was the first Guardian to attend the prestigious Enlisted Test Fundamentals course taught by the USAF Test Pilot School and has been on multiple contingency TDY's into various AOR’s supporting combat missions with Tier-1 Forces, with over 500 hours as a C-17A enlisted aircrew member.
